Well Spring Quarter is just about over. Thanks to all the students and instructors for coming out and making this a great season on the lake. As summer gets under way, make sure to keep your eye on the email lists and take your windsurfing to the next level out on the Bay.

If you want more instruction, Board Sports School in San Mateo is always a great option. Also, Cal Sailing Club offers great deals on rentals and lessons.

Check out these cool photos Yuhua took during class last week!

The wait is over! Thanks for your patience!

Get ready for a fun Spring Quarter!

Don’t worry, y’all! Our beginner windsurfing class for the Spring is just around the corner!

We’re still working on a couple of last approvals, so we can’t open official enrollment up just yet. If you want to be the first to know when classes open up, make sure you register for the windsurf-all@lists.stanford.edu mailing list.

In the mean time, we are still recruiting TAs for the class. TAs help us manage the class and give on-the-water advice to students. If you have taken the class before or have previous windsurfing experience, you are a perfect fit! Contact us using the “Contact Us” link on the right sidebar.

Fullscreen it and watch in HD!

Peter finished editing together our footage from summer 2010. The short & sweet video is posted on YouTube to spread the word about windsurfing and the Stanford Windsurfing Club. Enjoy!

Peter was at the Lake during the last week of class with his camera. He’s posted photos from those days in the Flickr photostream. Check it out!

Welp, the Spring Quarter is coming to a close. I hope everyone has had as much fun taking the class as we have teaching it! Remember, windsurfing only begins at Felt Lake. There’s a whole huge Bay and Ocean out there waiting for you to take the next steps. During the summer, as our fog-driven thermal winds ramp up, there won’t be a week that someone from the club isn’t ripping it up at Coyote Point or Candlestick Point. So make sure you stay tuned into the mailing lists and take opportunities to get on the water!

If you absolutely cannot wait to get back on the water and are looking for continuing instruction, don’t hesitate to get in contact with our friends at Cal Sailing Club or Board Sports School. Also, if you keep in touch with your instructors and volunteer to TA our course next year, you can get access to our extensive equipment collection!

Hope to see you on the water this summer!

Windsurfing Class FunSign-up is now open for the 2010 Spring Beginner Windsurfing Class!  Go to our signup page to reserve a spot in one of the sections this coming quarter.
